Logging a break meal

Hi Everyone!
I have been reading a lot about cheat days/meals/etc. I have decided that the best thing for me will be to have one break (not calling it cheating, that just leads to feelings of guilt) meal per week. What I'm doing is still making good choices, smaller portions, etc but just not tracking everything, when I cook not measuring the oil to the tsp, etc.

I don't want this to turn into a thread about if break/cheat meals are good or not. What my question is, for those of you that ALSO do a break meal, how do you record it? The whole point for me is to have a break from recording everything. But I don't want the bar graph to look like I ate way under every Friday. So what do you do?

Thanks!

Counting calories is not a way of living. One day you will stop counting calories and have to rely on making good choices every day. I think not recording a day or two a week is a good idea.

alternatively for reporting sake, just take an estimate and quick add.

When I was counting I was only counting the major items I consumed. Even accurately counting calories is after all only an estimate.

I designed "break" meals that I like. Typically if I am going to have one, I plan it and enter it in, then it helps me to watch what I eat during the rest of the day prior to that meal.
  • I would say to add 300-500 extra.

say if you eat 1500 cals, quick add 1800-2000 cals and in the notes section put "unknown-break meal"
