Just wanted to say hello and tell a bit about myself.

I am a 39 year old man and live in Kansas. I work in the agricultural industry.

Over the years after college and more time behind a desk, my weight slowly crept up and up. On my last yearly physical, I weighed as much as I ever had. I said enough was enough and joined weight watchers. That as well as lots of reading about healthy eating, I have changed my diet almost 180. My wife and I have started eating whole foods, abandoning almost all pre-made box dinners. We have eaten out less and much healthier when we do. I have given up deep fat fried foods (as much as possible and occasionally a cheat meal) and have lost 42 # in a little over 6 months. I still have a little ways to go, but I am already wearing clothes in the sizes I wore in high school and was in great shape.

Working out was another story. I have arthritis from wrestling injuries and after trying many programs and quitting, I didn't believe I could start anything until I lost weight. After losing the 40#'s I decided to give it a try. I'm now about 3 weeks in and feel great. I haven't lost any more, but realize I am building and toning muscle I haven't woken up in years. The weight loss will come and so will the toning and definition.

I have removed many of the roadblocks standing in the way of my success and am eager to remove the rest and blast to my goals.

If any of you are wondering, I am using Home Workout Revolution by Craig Ballentyne. They are quick, intense, fast paced workouts using bodyweight resistance and always working full body. I like the intensity since it reminds me a little of old wrestling workouts. He doesn't preach or tell jokes, and tells you what you are working and what you should be feeling and encourages you to finish strong. Right up my alley.

Thanks for listening and look forward to learning more about many of you as well!
