    I suffered from it for years and years under both arms, the left more so than the right. The right seemed to go into "remission" for the last several years, but the left was horr-i-ble. I finally, after rounds and rounds of antibiotics, decided on a surgery consult. That next week I had surgery. The surgery and recovery were a breeze. I wish I had done it years ago. I no longer suffer any pain under that arm. I have a gnarly scar but who cares? I have NO pain. It was so worth it. I also seem to sweat under just one arm now, so use only half the deodorant that I did before!!!! Lol :) If the right arm starts acting up again, I have no problem going through it again.
