Ladies - how often do you...

Right now I have 1 actual nice bra that fits.. 2 or 3 sports bras.. I am a 36DDD after 46lbs lost... I have to wash my bra every other day... it wears them out faster but they are damned expensive and I am not wasting money on bras that I wont fit into next month.
I have to get mine from dillards.. They are the only ones that seem to support me well the rest rip or stretch to fast.. so on average my bras are 70.00 a piece.......
sucks to be blessed... all natural..
When i started my WLJ I was a 38H....0 -
I only have 2 bras that fit well right now so I go a couple days wearing each. I tried to buy a couple cheap bras at Target so that I could cut down on laundry but I couldn't find my size (34D-34DD). Once I hit my goal weight I'll buy several and wash more frequently. They are expensive though and at my goal weight even harder to find (32D-32DD) for cheap. I haven't really noticed a funk after just two wearings but at about 3+ mine start to get a little funky so I try to make sure that I wash every two wearings. Sports bras are easy to find and cheap so I wash them every time and wear them occasionally instead of a regular bra if I don't get the wash done (don't judge, I have school full time, a job and a six year old )0

I have about 5 bras that I alternate between; two black and three tan, depending on what I'm wearing. Each one probably gets worn 2 or 3 times between washings. Unless i was really sweaty when I had it on, like doing heavy cleaning or out for a long walk, then it goes in the laundry basket right away. If it's just a regular work day, it gets reworn.
I used to read those anonymous confession websites all the time. Someone posted ones that she never washed her bras. Ever! And she had tons of people agreeing with her. So I think there are plenty of non-washers out there.0 -
Ok it obviously depends on how big your household is and how often the washing machine is on!
It's just me and husband now, and we each do our own laundry, so I do my own laundry once a week.0 -
Honestly, I give them the sniff test, and when they fail, it's into the hand washing pile. I hope that isn't disgusting.0

I used to wash them once a month? Cause I barely wore them...now don't even wear them at all anymore, I hate bras :laugh:0

If i didnt wear a bra everyday I would be a saggin mess.. LOL kudos to you for not caring about that or sorry that you dont have to feel the pain we go through daily with not wearing one...0 -
I have a TON of bras, because I hate laundry, so I usually wear them 2x and they go in the pile. I think I can make it a month like that.0

I have a big selection of bras. Love to have loads of different colors, styles etc. I wear them once and put them all in a garment washing bag and wash at the end of the week in my washer on gentle cycle. Then I lay them out to dry on top of a thick towel. Hubby doesn't mind at all. At least he's never complained.0
-
I don't put mine thru the wash, there too expensive! I bought a portable washing machine that washes them and my undies!
Its a lot of work but well worth it. Keep those bra's beautiful and new ladies.
Our boobs are one important asset!0 -
I toss them in the laundry after 3 wears. I wash them in the machine on delicate, but then hang them to dry. It doesn't matter if I clasp them before I toss them in the dryer; they always come undone and the clasps get all damn tangled in pant legs and mesh fabrics, and then they get stretched out or lacey bits get torn. I tend to lose those little removeable padding inserts in the wash, too. Bras are such a hassle lol.
I've heard from one of those fashion reality shows on TLC that bras are actually only supposed to last 6 months before you should buy new ones. SIX. MONTHS. Please, if it clasps, I wear it! :laugh:0 -
honestly? probably once a month.
But....you'll rarely catch me with a bra on.0 -
bras are serious business, you gotta show those babies some love! my busty sisters know exactly what i'm talking about. i spend 50+ on each bra so it gets the best treatment of everything in my laundry. i handwash my bras, and i feel like they are dirty after about 2 wears, maybe 3 if i'm PUSHING it which i rarely do....i do laundry a lot though so i don't mind...i consistently change outfits like 3 times a day anyways0

To be honest.. Not so often. I have about 4 bras I use often, and I don't have a particular time to wash them: I wash them when I think they need a wash (if they have a small or don't look clean).
Of course if I sweat they go right in the wash.. But that really doesn't happen too often.
Same here. I have TONS of bras so I kinda take turns switching through all of them. I'll wear a bra until...
a) I sweat in it (Hot day, bike ride, did lots of housework)
b) It smells like cigarettes (Smoking in bars is still legal where I live)
c) The bra smells (Meaning smells like it's been worn enough, not necessarily that I wait until it REAKS.)
It should be said that I'm not big-busted so I don't get "boob sweat" or anything like that. I don't wear my bras to bed. And because of my workouts, I wash up 1-2 times a day anyway.
I think the difference between socks & bras is that socks smell after I wear them one day & get dragged on the floors and shoved into various shoes/boots. A bra, I can wear for quite a while before it smells. And it doesn't get dragged on the floor or shoved in boots like socks do. Maybe other people have smelly boobs & can only wear a bra once, idk0 -
Wow, y'all spend a lot on bras...$50-$70?!?!:noway:
That's the one item of clothing I don't spend a whole lot on. I look in the clearance racks at Kohls and spend maybe $10-15 a bra. Between the wash and my dogs, my bras are lucky if they last 6 months.0 -
To answer the question...I wear once and wash. I like that 'fresh out of the dryer' snugness/support that you get from a freshly washed bra. I have a LOT of bras, though.0
-
I wear mine twice and they go in the wash I couldnt wear them more. Id get too grossed out
Yep, 2 days of wear and in the hamper they go.0 -
Hello,
Wear it once... Then wash it0 -
2-3 times depending on how much activity throughout the day. hand-washing is best. less damage0
-
Dammit. Misleading title is misleading, and now all day, errday is not an appropriate response!0
-
The only thing I wear is sports bras... And I own 1 push-up bra0
-
I wear a different bra daily, when it comes off my body its in the laundry basket. I personally cant wear it again.0

I don't put mine in the washing machine either! Hell, at between $70 and $100 per bra they are hand washed and they go no where near a dryer! My size can't be found in mainstream stores so I have to go to a specialty store or order them online.
In the winter I'll wear it twice then hand wash it. In the summer only once then hand wash.0 -
I thought we were suppose to wash them daily. I sweat at work and I don't want to put that on over my clean skin.
I hand wash them. It amazes me though how expensive bras are and how short their life is. I buy the $62 ones from Victoria's Secret.0 -
I'm no angel (far from it) but I am genuinely shocked at how little people actually wash their bras.
I have about 10 everyday bras, a few pretty/sexy ones and 6 sports bras. I appreciate not everyone can afford as many but evenif you had two bras you can wear one and wash the other.0 -

I too was shocked and tbh.. Disgusted that people will wear a bra more than once with out washing it :O
I'm a little ocd and thought I was the one with a problem for a sec haha
Each to yah own I guess0 -

Oh I'm def OCD , you wouldn't (or I wouldn't ) wear socks or knickers more than once so why is it different for a bra? People may not sweat to excess but there is still sweat on the body not to mention dead skin cells etc ! Personally I think its minging but that's just me0
