I know it doesn't sound like a real big deal, but I broke 200 lbs today! (I weighed in @ 199 this morning :)
When I went into labor with my beautiful daughter in May of 2007 I weighed 235. A year later on her first birthday I weighed 230 :P
I knew I had to do something so I joined a gym and dropped 25 lbs in about 6 months. After that, NOTHING. Since I have joined MFP I have learned sooooo much about nutrition and the golden rule to weight loss; if you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight. This has been a wonderful tool for me. I am a personal chef and I will actually be able to take what I have learned here and pass it along to my clients who have weight issues and special dietary needs.
THANK YOU MY FITNESS PAL!!!!
I know I have a lot more work ahead of me (35 lbs to go) and I really feel like I can do it this time! YAY!!!!!!

Great Job! When I get there, hopefully in a week or two, I'm going to have a spa day. Are you doing anything special to treat yourself for the good work?

My first goal this time is 185. When I hit it I am going to get a much needed haircut, and set an appointment with my favorite artist to get a tattoo design drawn up. When I hit my final goal of 165 I am getting that tattoo! (Hopefully for my 40th birthday in January)
As I mentioned, I am a chef and I have yet to get anything symbolic of my passion for food. I will be getting a design that incorporates a knife and fork tied up with garden herbs to look like a pretty bouquet. I like the idea of this being a reward for losing a significant amount of weight. I think it will sort of serve as a reminder to me to be in control of the food, not only the cooking aspect, but the eating part as well
