My name is April. I am a young, single mom and my weight has always been a hot button issue. I am relatively healthy right now, but it was a long journey to get here. I am exactly 1 lbs less than before I ever got pregnant. After my last baby it has become increasingly more difficult to lose weight and stay motivated. After I stopped breastfeeding, I slipped back into an eating disorder, which I have struggled with since high school and lost a lot of weight in a really short time. After finally getting help and getting healthy again I gained back every single pound I lost and have fluctuated ever since. My therapist recommended this site/app to help me lose weight in a healthy way by tracking what I eat and being held responsible for my food choices, which he thinks will make it a lot harder for me to just stop eating again. The eating disorder depleted my protein levels and I am still trying to get them back up. Because of this, I lost a lot of muscle. So, working out again will be slow getting started. I am hoping that this site will be that one thing that helps me change this long history of a bad relationship with food.
