Pre-Workout??

I have used 'NO Shotgun' as my pre-workout for sometime now. I just recently started putting more focus on weight training instead of cardio and for some reason, shotgun is too much for me now. Anyone have any suggestions on a good pre-workout that won't make me want to break things???

Normally for me I have some a small serving of Chicken with either Brown Rice or Whole Grain Pasta. If I'm going to gym from work I'd have a Metrx Protein Plus bar with a Vitamin Water Zero Revive.

I have tried a lot of things over the years but my current combo is the best for me; 2 x OxyElite Pro, Black Coffee, Xtend BCAAs (I do IF so I also train fasted)

I don't want to break things or feel jittery or nauseated, but if you don't handle thermogenics well you could. I also tend to get hives that last 20-30 minutes and a really bad flush if I use a product with too much Niacin in it, which a lot of NO products seem to have.

I usually have a banana and almonds pre-run. Malt loaf is also supposed to be good, I have just bought one so will be testing that out this week :)

  • Im not a fan of pre-workout. not saying they don't work but people get in the habit of taking them and if you forget to take it before a workout you wont be in the same mind set. so I would one suggest them on a heavy lift day such as legs if you must have them. but only every once in awhile. I like the coffee ideal

As much as I like coffee, I think caffeine pills work much better. They are cheaper than coffee and you know how much caffeine you getting.
