Difference between Straight leg and bent leg deadlifts

Hi all! :) I'm just curious as to what the difference is between a straight leg deadlift and a bent leg deadlift. I'm not sure if it builds muscle in different area or if there isn't really much difference and it just is each person's preference.
I currently do bent leg but I've been seeing a lot of people doing straight leg.
