It's time to reteach ourselves. Don't you think?

Most of us on this site are here for losing those unwanted, dreadful pounds. Right? Well, we were taught or taught ourselves to eat this way, be lazy, ect. So now we must unteach ourselves. For most of us this is a very hard thing to do but it is possible and all we need is possible. What if there was no way to lose weight? Once you gained a pound, you had to keep it forever. Wouldn't you AT THAT POINT do almost anything to undo it? Well, the good thing is your body doesn't work like that. In the process you may get stretchmarks, lose skin, ect. You may never bounce completely back to your old body or get the dream body but you can get as close as possible to that. Don't let it get too far. When I was little, I was only around ten pounds overweight. I used to cry about it and complain but now? I'm 37 pounds over what I want to be. Some want and need to lose more, some less. It's really your weight preference. So now you're probably like "Blah, blah. Get to the point." The only way to reteach ourselves is to deal with being deprived of the sweets and fatty foods if you're looking to be healthy as well. You'll of course also need for it to fit in your macros! Now if you're not worried about "health", then it doesn't matter if you eat chocolate cake and cheeseburgers. BUT, it will take up more calories then say... vegetables or a lean piece of meat. Some people have different opinions on the "If it fits in your macros" topic and I don't want this post to be about that. We have to gain control of our mind. We need to make small goals. I saw someone post the "One week challenge". Why not try that? One week of healthy eating and/or fitting in your macros. Exercising at least two times a week at the least. Maybe not even start out with the working-out if you don't want to but I read an article that said it takes 8-9 weeks before your mind fully gets into a schedule. Now, I've gotten into a schedule quicker than that but it didn't stick. I lost twenty pounds about 3 1/2 years ago but gained 15 back, then got pregnant, then was 193, then dropped to 172 now I'm 177. We want something that isn't a "diet" but a lifestyle. We must change the way we think and get ourselves on a better schedule. For MONTHS after I lost the weight, I wouldn't touch certain things. My taste buds changed. I used to put mayonnaise on EVERYTHING and then I changed mayonnaise for mustard and I HATED mustard but now? I've developed a taste for it. I started to truly think mayonnaise was gross and it didn't taste good. But, my taste buds switched back later on. We need to gain CONTROL guys. We need to teach ourselves the RIGHT way. It depends on what you feel is the "right way". It is POSSIBLE to reteach ourselves and become the "fit" and/or "healthy" person we've always wanted to be.
