No calories for strength training?

I entered some exercises under "Strength Training" and it didn't report calories burned. Does anyone know why that is?

Try using the Cardiovascular part of the exercise journal.

Exercise -> Database -> Choose An Exercise Below -> Strength Training (Weight Lifting, Weight Training) will give you a decent approximation.

Because strength training doesn't burn much. You do strength training to build muscle not as a calorie burner.

Strength training may not burn a lot of calories, but it does burn bodyfat more efficiently than cardio. And building muscle means you are allocating calories to muscle growth, hormone production, etc. that otherwise may be stored in your fat cells.

Chris is right---and I also wondering about the strength training thing & found that logging in as "Cardio" works out for me.
I mix it up, doing 35 mins of cardio @ the gym & then cool down with weight lifting for about 30-60 minutes. I've heard that weight lifting peaks up your metabolism and helps you burn fat. Then again, I also wear sweats while working out to help burn off water weight as well.

I do Walking Away the Pounds with toning bands or chords. I get an all body work out and burn serious calories.
