If you have a fever:sick: DON'T work out allow your body to rest if you don't have a fever go for it! But do allow yourself time to rest as well. Rest is the best medicine.0

Sometimes taking an easy walk or doing some easy yoga actually feels good when I'm sick, but if I'm sick, and exercising doesn't actually feel good, not merely possible, I don't do it. That said, not every illness calls for bed rest. Even getting up and doing things around the house is a form of activity.0

I would definitely avoid weight lifting when you're sick. Try yoga, or take a long walk. Your exercise should be something that is calming to the nervous system.
It's good to sweat when you're ill, though, because it will help to get rid of the toxins in your body. Just don't overdo it!0 -
Just an unprofessional opinion, but this is what I do...
Fever or vomiting--obvious NO.
Cold, i.e. runny nose, congestion, general yuck...Go workout!!! ... and wipe off all the equipment you use. It will make you feel so much better, or at least it makes me feel better. There's something about cardio in particular that clears up my congestion better than ANY medicine. I still lift when I'm sick like this, but probably only at about 80% of my normal intensity. I swear I get over colds faster than I ever have by doing this.
Feel better!!!0
