RunKeeper distance and pace issues

I just started using RunKeeper and I think it is giving me inaccurate distances and pace. When I used the Nike+ app, it said that my normal route was around 3.5 miles and that my average pace was around 12:45 per mile (alternating walking and jogging). Suddenly it started malfunctioning, so I decided to download RunKeeper since a lot of people seem to use it and like it. It says that my distance is almost a mile farther and that my pace is around 10:00 per mile. I'm assuming that Nike+ is probably the accurate one. Has anyone else had this problem, and if you did, how did you fix it?

Your best bet is to use something like Google Maps or Map My Run and find out the mileage of your route. Then time yourself doing the run. That's the most scientific way to figure out what your actual pace is, and then you can see which one you are closest too.0

Thanks, I'll give that a try!0
