I am constantly sick, partly due to working at a day care. There is always at least one kid sick each week, and I seem to ALWAYS catch their colds. My vit C intake is really high, but I still seem to get sick despite that? Anything else to booster my immune system?

As this is post is in the chit chat section I am going to reply in the same manner in a fashion!

Are you actually sick or do you `catch it` are you sick all the time because you `think` that you are sick?

Sometimes people just want to copy stuff and imagine they are sick?

Good luck with that...lol...I worked daycare and later for the school district when I was younger. Wash your hands every chance you get and keep them away from your face and food until you do!

Each little cold you recover from will help your immune system, it just takes time. Until that happens you can try taking Airborne or Emergen-C...unless you already are since you said your vitamin C intake is high.

    Good luck!

Its always the simplest things... Get lots of sleep to help your body recover from bugs and viruses.

Drink plenty of water and eat lots of fresh fruit and veg. Give your body the best chance to fight things off.

As a random tip, I swear by washing my hair with a few drops of tea tree oil (or shampoo with it) as it is anti-bacterial and you'll never get nits, as they hate it!

I've been reading a lot lately that fish oil is really beneficial to prevent colds. When I was a child, my mother ALWAYS made us take fish oil capsules in the winter. I made my kids take them too because we live in the north and don't get as much sunlight in the winter as a lot of places. I believed that the vitamin D would be good. Turns out fish oil capsules are beneficial for a lot of things. Maybe try taking them?? Unless you already eat a lot of fish. Just a thought. The washing hands is probably the best advice though. And don't always be using hand sanitizer. It kills the good bacteria as well so you end up with no defences when those germs come and attack you. Just regular soap and water. On a positive note.....cold season is just about done, isn't it?

Look at the NVIC website.Go off gluten and casien and processed foods.Need to replace your good gut flora.Antiniotcs kill off your good gut flora, which you need to fight off illness.Need porbiotics.Much of our food is GMo and processed and severely lacking in nutrients.Organic radishes and elderberry can help fight colds and flu.Full spectrum minerals with amino acid chelate is good.Natural food supplements like spirulina, alfalfa.Chock full of nutrients and help detox the body.
