Who ever knew this could be so much fun!( rather long rant)

Well I admit it took me a while to get to this point but Wow what a difference attitude makes! I started out like alot of people & wasn't honest about my food intake. After all, did I want to admit to 5 chocolate martinis? Right from the begining I had set myself up for failure. About 1yr later I decided to give it a 2nd try. This time I logged everything & exercised like a manic on 1200cals a day. After about 6months I went to the dr for extreme fatigue & found out I had won the trifecta of bad health, had a mild heart attack, was type 2 diabetic & my liver isn't doing it's thing so well. NOW THIS IS WHERE THE FUN STARTED. I had a real hard wake up call & took a new look at life. After it's pretty short & I have things to do. I started walking every day. 15min at first ( down from 3 hr hikes) Slowely built up my stamina & reinvented my recipes so I could eat the things I love. Now I can run along beside my 3yr old granddaughter while she learns to ride her bike. That's fun! Hiked 2 days last week to see some waterfalls, found a new walking trail yesterday ect. I make healthy food & take to work to share w/ co-workers. I eat around 1700 calories a day & still lose weight & really am seeing a difference in the way my clothes fit. Yep- it's gotten fun! Enjoy your weight loss journey people & it will become a life style- not a diet. A real recipe for success!
