Hiya
So i have been strength training consistently for the past 3 weeks 2days per week for 45 mins - doing a range of different excercises such as squat/ lunges/ chest press/ shoulder press/ deadlifts etc. Have been increasing weights but felt like i needed a proper programme to follow.Found the 5x5 strong lift programme which i started today - however i didn't feel like it challenged me! The most i have squated is 60kg, however on this programme it tells me to start at 32.5kg - I done this today and felt like i should be lifting heavier?
It was only my first day today so should i just stick to the programme lifting the weights as it tells me? Or shall i up the weight to a more challenging weight?
A little bit lost as I am relevatievly new too all this weight training/ strength training etc
Also with regards to TDEE/ BMR - if i was to work out to the current weights the programme suggests should i change the activity level for my TDEE to light excercise? so this is reflected in my calorie intake? As i don't feel like this challenges me as other excercises have?
One more thing - people who have done this programme or are currently do it - I like to workout 5 days a week before work - what do you do on the 2 days you don't do this programme?
A lot of questions there but any advise would be great!!
Thanks again xxxx
