I have an eliptical that I put in my stats and it came with a chest HRM and I also have a watch HRM. They have about a 200 calorie burn difference, the watch being on the higher end. Which one should I believe?

Thanks for your advice :)

Chest straps tend to be more reliable than watches.

It depends. By "watch HRM" do you mean it measures from the wrist, or do you mean it has a chest strap and a watch you put on your arm?

Just asking because my treadmill came with a chest strap too - a Polar one. I also have a Polar HRM with a watch and chest strap. The treadmill picks up my chest strap and gives me an estimated calorie burn that is always higher than what my Polar watch displays. My treadmill may pick up the Polar HRM, but it uses its own, inferior, equation to calculate calories burned.

It measures from the wrist. The watch and the chest strap are seperate.
