Does anyone use this? My son has one and says it just measures calories expended and steps.
I like the bracelet style to it.
But am not sure about is efficiency or if there are better products out there.

I did NOT like this product. I did initially like the bracelet style, but I find the FitBit to be much more reliable. FitBit is coming out with a bracelet style, so you may want to look into that. HOWEVER, I find the clip style can be moved around depending on my activity (walking vs biking) for more reliable estimates. I put it on my bra most of the day and move it to my sock at the gym. So, when I get on the stationary bike, for example, it picks up movement better. The bracelet style is nice, but lacks this flexibility.

Thanks for your response. Which fitbit do you have? Or which would you recommend?

I have the FitBit One and I really like it. If you are mostly walking/running (with arm motion) the FitBit Flex might be fine for you (bracelet style), but I really put the clip on my sock often. When I put it anywhere else and get on a stationary bike it really doesn't pick up much movement. The Flex is really cool, but I just don't think it will work as well for me.

UPDATE! I just learned that you can remove the tracking device from the Flex to put it in different bands. I wonder if it can be put in a clip case?
