Daily goals

How do I know if I should change my daily goals (calories, carbs, etc) that they give me on here after I plug my info in? I eat around 1300 calories normally I'm noticing. It says I have up to 1500 from MFP after the info I entered in. Also, I'm trying not to eat all the carbs they say I can have. I'm not eating my exercise earned calories either.

I really want to lose the weight, so far so good. I tried this about a year ago and then some personal issues came up and now I've been doing this for 2 weeks, going to the gym and plugging in my exercise and food here. I just want to do it right and if there are any pointers or suggestions I would love to hear them. I work out daily - - sometimes twice a day (in the a.m. and then after work). I'm struggling with drinking water but I am doing it.

Thanks for your help in advance!
Amy

What does this calculator tell you?

And yes, changing your macro nutrients, plays a big part. I currently eat 40/20/40 in carbs, fats, protein.

I suggest you manually adjust your macros to what you wish from the default. (my home tab, goals, custom)

Most of the time what MFP suggests is pretty accurate. I would recommend new people try following what MFP gives you for a few weeks and adjust from there.
