My friends tell me I should watch this show. Should I?0
-
I'm totally looking forward also...and ditto on the Jon Snow comment!0
-
You should most definitely watch it!! Start from season 1 episode 1 - no peaking! They run very close to the books, so if you want to read the books, I recommend reading them first... But it is absolutely FANTASTIC! Highly recommended0

YES!!! Can't wait. lots of people should be dying in this season. Kind of like every other season..but this one is especially death-filled. Nothing makes me happier than watching people's favorite characters take an axe to the neck or arrow to the gut.0

I just got HBO and watched the first two seasons. I started fast forwarding over the Dragon Mommy scenes (boring subplot).
I like it better than LOTR, but what's the deal with all the gratuitous sex, always from the male point of view? I could set my watch by it: Every 15 minutes a gorgeous 20-something woman enters the scene and strips.0 -

The author is a huge pervert. And that is what makes the books and show so good.0 -

Is there that much sex in the books? It's practically soft porn. The formula is similar to that of The Tudors and The Borgias: violence, sex, buttered with a little history. At least GoT doesn’t pretend to be history of any kind.
My favorite character is Arya.0 -
Me and my direwolf are all amped up.0

Me me me!! Can't wait!
I like Arya too, but my favorite character is Tyrion.0 -

My favorite character is Arya.
The books are more graphic0 -
Terrific show. I'm reading the books as I prepare for the season, so I just finished book 3. The books are brilliantly written, and they stayed very close to them in the show...the actors in this show are great, don't you think? Really looking forward to it starting.0

Sure. Consider it dessert, after Mad Men and Breaking Bad and Dexter.0 -
I love this show! They have been very true to the books minus a couple name changes. I heard the 6th book is due to come out this year. There is an excerpt on George RR Martin's website.
Dani is totally my favorite.. esp in the later books.0 -

He's my next favorite. Peter Dinklage is quite good in the role.
I wish it weren't so heavy handed in places. I don't need to hear characters state the theme of the episode twice in 10 minutes.0 -
I can watch 4 episodes then I'm back to uni with only free view television T.T0
-
Can't wait for the show to start... and for the next book to drop...
I'll be watching the first two seasons again just to freshen up on the material!0 -
Edit: I CAN'T F*CKING WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Can't wait for it, just like the rest of you.I just got HBO and watched the first two seasons. I started fast forwarding over the Dragon Mommy scenes (boring subplot).
I HIGHLY recommend not fast forwarding through her scenes, especially if you haven't read the books. She becomes a huge character later on.0 -

OMG ME!! I've been counting the days for so long. I've even used to show as a motivator for me to lose weight, drop 5lbs in March or no watching. Season three will be epic! My heart rate is rising just thinking about it, how many calories am I burning now? Ahhhhhhh thirteen more days!0 -
SO EXCITED!!!!!
If y'all like the TV show you should read the books (if you haven't). Book 2 is quite different (and MUCH better) than season 2 of the show. I'm really hoping they bring it back in line with the books in season 3.0 -

REALLY REALLY not a subplot. She's kind of a main character. You might want to go back and watch those.
The sex is all in the book, so... yeah HBO is known for it, but in this case they're just following what's in the books.0 -
When my husband first told me to watch the show, I was so disgusted with the first episode, I had no idea what to expect. Now, I LOVE them!!! I can't wait for it to start!!!!!!! :-)0

I think it's partly her dialogue. It's particularly ponderously stupid. The brother was a rip-off of Caligula and the crazy emperor played in Gladiator.
Oh, and the hair...0 -
Tyrian is my favourite character by far! But I love Charles Dance as Tywin... Arya is fantastic for her age... Just fantastic acting, fantastic story... Just bloody brilliant!0
-
sooo excited for it to start. half way through book 5 now, eventually i'll finish it. my favorite characters are arya, jon snow, and tyrion and starting to like jaime lannister from the reading not the show yet.0
