Fitbit question

New to fitbit and little confused? I have my lifestyle set to sedentary. I log my cycling through MFP. Do I log my walking exercise into MFP or let the fitbit do it. I generally walk 3-4 miles at roughly 4 miles an hour. Does fitbit accomodate calorie burn for a cardio type walk compared to general walking?

I have a fitbit and I notice the faster I walk, the more calories I burn. I believe (and I could be wrong) but I think the Fitbit looks at how many steps you are walking in a five minute period, so more steps, more of a calorie burn.
For me, I only enter exercise into the MFP site if I'm doing something other than walking (such as a workout DVD, running, or spin bike). I let the Fitbit calculate my walking since, like you, I walk 3 to 4 miles a day.
Hope that helps!
Also there is a Fitbit group on here to, which is a great place to get answers and make some fitbit friends! :flowerforyou:0
