So... um... hello everyone!

I'm Marie, I'm currently living in Scotland and I'm here because I need a lot of motivation to start living healthily.

From January to April 2009, I lost a stone in weight, but my motivation disappeared. I managed to maintain that weightloss while fluctuating a little, but I've still got another stone to lose before reaching a weight I'll feel happy with.

I've signed up to the 12 week weight loss plan on About.com, which has a lot of focus on exercise, and I'm hoping that between this site and that plan, I'll stick with it, and that in 12 weeks, I'll be a healthier, happier me.

I've also set myself a goal to run a 10k at some stage before the end of the year, so... um... yeah, that's me.

    This is definitely the place to be if you need some motivation to loose weight, before signing up I never really thought about what I was eating and didn't bother thinking about how many calories etc the foods I was eating had.
    Good luck with that last stone and with the 10k run :)

    Welcome! Good luck losing the stone and with the 5K. I think you'll find people here incredibly supportive - I have.

    Thanks for the welcome! Yeah, I've been having a look through the forums this morning - it does seem like a really friendly and supportive place.

    And though I've used online calorie counters before, I love that this one is so clear! And that it gives you a goal for the day. I went into the red yesterday (final blowout with some Hula Hoops) so I'm determined not to do that again for the next week.
