recovery help?

Yesterday I attempted a boxercise class. I pushed too hard and destroyed my arms and legs. I have yoga tonight and I never miss it - but my legs are in so much pain that I'm pretty much crippled. What's the best way to recover from over-exertion? Can I go to yoga or will it just be pointless agony?

I think it will be great for you to stretch out those muscles the best that you can0

I'd go, but if certain yoga moves are too difficult or cause too much discomfort, then just don't do them. Maybe let your instructor know ahead of time, so he or she can provide some alternative moves?
If you take the boxercise class again, you may want to really hydrate well throughout the day before hand - keep those muscles wet - and maybe do some foam-rolling before the class (no stretching) and then more foam-rolling and stretching after the class. And drink lots of water afterwards, maybe a hot bath right after too?0 -
