What is a fitbit, does it have anything to do with calculating your bmr, and would you recommend it?

A Fitbit is a fancy pedometer. I had the $100 one and LOVED it.....lost it, and bought the $60 one. It tracks my steps and distance pretty accurately, but the more expensive one could also be used for tracking sleep. It won't calculate your BMR, but it does give an estimation of calories burned.
I'd spend the money on the more expensive one if I had it to do again.

i bought mine last february, and i use it EVERYDAY, its awesome. you get daily goals, weekly goals. it syncs to mfp, i absolutely love it. when it comes to the daily goals there is nothing more motivating than to make it happen.

i have a fitbit, really recomend it, it tracks your activity level, calculates how mnay calories you use just by being alive, can track sleep at a basic level,,,and synchs very well with my fitnesspal. i also have the wifi scales, that measure weight and lean/fat bodymass.
