I'd have to hurt someone if they took my coffee away.
but congratulations.0 -
I've managed to switch to decaf, but would be interested in knowing how you got off the coffee altogether.0

About two weeks ago, I saw a pic of myself one of my children took of me....:noway:
Then I started thinking about what my mind was on, just about 24X7, 365---FOOD, what am I going to eat, drink and then as per always, when I start getting upset, irked or feeling overwhelmed I headed to my French press to drown my "sorrows" in a good ole cup of Joe!
Now since about September, I wasn't drinking the 5 or more cups per day, but still totally hooked on the stuff--truly believing that I couldn't wake-up properly nor function and/or be "happy" and balanced without my coffee. I just threw down the gauntlet and said out loud, ENOUGH is ENOUGH and too much STINKS! I decided right then and there to just say NO...to coffee, meats, dairy, junk foods and feeling sorry for myself. I put myself on a 90 day self imposed BOOTCAMP--eating ONLY organic fruits, veggies, sprouted grains, nuts and seeds and ONLY eating humanely raised and vegan feed meat & wild, troll and poll caught seafood (when my body called for it)...which is did yesterday and I made a homemade organically fed and humanely raised chicken soup that could stop traffic it was sooooo delicious.
Anyhoo...I just STOPPED cold turkey. The first day was okay, but that night--WOW, what a terrible night it was--I felt like a junkie getting off of smack or something. The next 3 days I felt a low grade headache and then day four BAM--it was GONE, all of the cravings, aches and pains and amazingly...I woke up refreshed and alert like I haven't felt since I was a kid. I just got sick and tired of feeling like "I GOTTA HAVE THIS OR ELSE I CAN'T FUNCTION. I kicked that habit to the place where the sun won't EVER shine. What's utterly tremendous is FOOD is no longer the center of my attention and affection anymore--it's AMAZING and for me, it has a lot to do with my coffee addiction. Now please note, I HAD to have my coffee loaded with flavored creams and would rather jump off of the Golden Gate Bridge than drink it black or with anything other than artificial and sugary creams.
In my first week of coffee and junk free, I lost 2.2 pounds, last week I lost 1.6 pounds and I'm feeling as energetic and alert as a puppy or young child! I haven't seen such loses in a long, long time AND I'm fitting into my size 16's nicely and they are getting roomier and roomier as each day passes by and I'm SURE I'll be in my 14's in a few weeks:bigsmile:
I'm doing lots of other things, that deal with my mind, emotions, will and it involved praying and trusting God to help me overcome not merely my mental flab and fat but also my physical fat and flab as well. I won't bore you with all the details:laugh: :flowerforyou:
Hope this answers your question(s) and thank you so much for asking and posting!0
