I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from New England (MA). I'm 38. I'm a preschool teacher by day, and mom to 3 amazing kids. I'm happily married, trying to inspire my hubby to take better care of himself by leading by example.
I just discovered this site about a month ago. I've been lurking this whole time. I'm hoping to add friends to keep me motivated. I've been doing Ripped in 30 and started round 2 yesterday. I like the results so far. I also do the elliptical (4 mi.) and can't wait to start running outside, in theory. My knee has been bothering me on the treadmill and I'm sure I should go see a doctor...add it to the list. The elliptical doesn't seem to bother my knee. But I prefer the outdoors to the gym.
I've been really surprised by the calorie counts here. I'm eating so healthy and still my calories add up quickly, even eating my calories back. It's surprising. I no longer look at a banana the same...I see a hundred calories. haha... but I'm trying not to get obsessed about it. At 38, I'm still learning about my body.
I'm 5'4" and want to lose the last 15 lbs. (129 is my goal-or size 6) I would love to complete a 5K. I don't know why I'm so afraid of this. This year, I'm changing. I'm getting out of my comfort zone and really feeling young again.
My goals are to :be patient.
Run a 5K,
Wear a bikini this summer (stretch marks and all)
Wear a 5/6 dress (from 15 years ago)
Live in the moment
Get down to 129lbs again
Moxie is a family inside joke, (not the drink), but I love what it stands for!
