I have been to the seaside today and we had a portion of chip shop chips (uk) and a sausage (not battered) does anyone know the calories for this? In the database it has uk chips but is per gram and I have no idea how many grams I ate!

Well, a medium sized baked potato weighs on average about 250grams, and in an average portion of chip shop chips there are probably two or three of those, so you're looking at 500 - 750 grams. I did weigh a portion once and was so horrified by the number of calories that I've not had them since, and I can't find the entry in my diary. I do remember it being about 1200 calories just for the chips (and it was a small portion).

OMG I had no idea there could be that many calories in a portion of chips.
That explains why I didn't lose much weight this week!0
