Body 4 Life at 50

I am doing Body 4 Life at age 50. I did it at 48 with tremendous success. This time around I have reduced the strength piece and upped the cardio...is this a mistake?

Yeah, I'd recommend following the program as is. Gaining and keeping muscle is important, especially as we age.

I advise against reducing the strength part also, but of course every program is only as good as the person who sticks with it, and so if tweaking it a bit to suit yourself makes you stay on track, then that's alright too in my personal opinion. You can always try it your way for a while and change back later if you find that it's not a good fit for you.

I'm a bit of a tweaker, personally, and only used the program I'm currently doing as a launching pad. I follow the general principle but made some changes around the edges based on personal fitness goals and preferences, because I simply couldn't find a program that suited me completely.

Of course I understand not to blame the program if I get different results than those who stick to it 100%, but I'm okay with that, and I made sure to do my research before I did any tweaking. Better to adapt than quit.

What made you want to reduce the strength portion?
