Sweating

Okay, I know what I am about to say is probably weird; but I have been thinking about it for a while. So when I go to the gym and I am working out, my head sweats, my faces gets super red but I do not sweat through my shirt. So...my questions is WHY? Am I not exercising hard enought? Do I need to do more than I am? Today I did thirty minutes of strenght training and another 45 minutes walking on the treadmill. I was doing this Dance Groove class for an hour and my face would get extremely red but no sweating through my clothes.

I know it is weird and everyone's body is different, I was just wondering.... If you have experienced this as well, please let me know. If you have the answer, please let me know!!!!

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

I don't sweat much, ever. My face gets terribly red and I get very hot but my body just doesn't sweat. I'll get a little damp if I have on lotion or something but that's about it. I do know that people who don't sweat need to be extremely careful to not overheat because it can be very dangerous and you could have a heat stroke. I drink lots and lots of water and exercise when or where it is cool, never in the heat or a very hot place. Don't know if that helps, but it works for me.

I'm the exact same way. My face sweats alot and I get red but my body will only kinda be damp. I never sweat through my shirt. I think we're all different. My husband gets soaked from head to toe when he works out.

This is not referenced knowledge but Im sure a Google search would point you in the right direction. But, I am fairly certain I have read that sweating is a adaptation of the body to exercise. People in good shape sweat buckets an example would be watching basketball players. I would imagine as you get in better shape and your body adapts to exercising you will sweat more.

me and my husband are the same way. He is pouring sweat and I am just a little sweaty and beet red. I know the being red is due to the blood being closer to the surface of the skin. This is just another way of the body cooling its self down.

Count your blessings. Sweat is gross. :) I am a heavy duty sweater. I get the red face and the wet clothes. If your face is getting red, you're most likely working hard enough. Some people just sweat more than others.

I'm not quite sure about this. I was a heavy sweater when I was 20 pounds overweight and I'm still a heavy sweater. I think everyone's bodies are just different.

Well this motivated me to do research on something I dont care about. It appears I may be incorrect according to who you ask. Like many things in body related issues here is some stuff that says both. So pick one and go with it either way your right :-)
