Thinking about starting a lifting routine, need advice

I recently bought and read NROLW. I love the idea of it, but I don't love the need for a gym or the set-up costs (and space). Are there other lifting programs that will let me workout from home with minimal investment? I've really gotten into a groove, waking up at 6am, working out, getting the kids ready for school and on the bus, then heading out to work. I think keeping this routine is a key to my success, at least in this stage of our lives.

Anyway, I have barbells right now--a 2.5-12. 5lb set that goes up in 2.5lb. increments, a 10-50lb. set that goes up in 10 lb. increments, and a 15 lb. set. That's it. I think I may be able to get by with Stage 1 by modifying, but not sure beyond that. I'm willing to add on to my home set-up a bit, but don't have much room. Am I just dreaming that I can see real results with smaller equipment and space? If I'm not dreaming, where should my first investment be?

Also, I could make it to the gym one weeknight and on the weekends.

Thanks in advance.

Very interested in what the responses will be on this. I, too, am thinking about starting a lifting routine, but do not want to join a gym nor invest a large amount of money. I know my health is very important and worth any investment - don't get me wrong -

I do NROL4W at home with a barbell, dumbbells and a Swiss ball. I've had to do some modifications but I'm on stage 6 and I'm having great progress.

That's great to hear! I think if I tackle my husband's man cave with some organization, I might be able to fit a little more.
