I just started my first dose today...any ladies have advice for me? I've been crying today about it. Fertility doc said my reserve eggs are very low...so low she made me redo the test today. Any advice about this drug? I thought my success so far would have kept me off the pills...but no.
Thank you,
Tina

Take it with food, expect a little GI distress in the beginning (usually nausea and/or diarrhea). Also tends to have weight loss as a side effect. Tapering up the dose slowly can minimize the GI problems.0

If you have any stomach issues, ask your doctor for the extended-release version. I'm on 500mg per day, extended-release, and I haven't had any problems with it. I take it for insulin resistance. I haven't noticed an increase in weight loss; it's still as slow as it was before I started taking the medication.
It also helps if you take it with dinner. Having a full stomach and taking it later in the day can help with the symptoms. Drinking a full glass of water helps too. The extended-release version really shouldn't bother you, though. I've taken it in the morning after forgetting it the night before, and it didn't bother me at all.0
