Getting so close

I had to post after weighing in this morning: 178.8 (177.2 on my wife's scales)

The last time any scales said anything under 180 was.....1980's. It was before I got married. I typically weigh in a bit later on the weekend, like 2-3 hours later, but still. I'm getting close to my goal of 175. I think 175 is a pretty good weight for me but I may think about 170.

I haven't felt 100% for a couple weeks. I've been struggling with a cold and getting a bit run down. I've cut back on my exercise routine and tried to get more sleep and more water. Some of this weight may come right back for the short term, but it feels good to have a low number anyway.

I have a challenge for myself coming up. We're going to Disney World for a week on May 1. I need to try to eat reasonably well and get some exercise too. I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of walking but I want to hit the gym a bit while there too.

Way To Go! Or should I say WEIGH to GO?
Very nice progress! Way to stick with it even though you've been under the weather.
I've noticed it's very easy to find an excuse not to exercise. Stick with it...very impressive progress!

I think that's what I'll be doing...keep setting new goals. Right now, I've reached the high end of my BMI. But I think I'm going to shoot for more like the middle. (I think the low end is just too low.)

Get rid of that cold and Enjoy Disney World. I love it there!

    Thanks for the encouragement folks.

I wanted to get down into the "normal" range for the BMI too. I think the low end of the BMI is waaaay too low. They show the normal range as being 136.4 to 184.4 for 6' 0''. That's just crazy talk. I'll work toward 170 and try to maintain there.

We went to Disney World 20 years ago when we got married. This time it'll be with kids (9 and 10). I'm sure there are all kinds of new and updated things to do and see. The kids seem to like live music, so I'll try to look something up. If anyone knows of something let me know.

On the music front, Styx, Joan Jett, and Grand Funk will be playing this year at the Great Jones County Fair. We'll see if we can make a trip for that one maybe.

    Great job!
I also think the BMI index for guys is a litttle off
My DH is 5'10 and some change and weighs 180..he is a healthy eater and hits the gym 5/6 days a week and plays on a hockey league..according to his BMI he is over-weight?

As long as u see progress and feel comfy with yourself..that is all that is important
    Keep up the good work
