Inexpensive, Non-Food Rewards

I just read in a magazine (forget which one) that a new trend for spring is wearing bright fun solid colored tops with big or interesting necklaces. I've already picked up some cute 3/4 sleeve shirts at Walmart for less than $8 each and then I got some jewelry at Forever 21. All of the necklaces were around $6-7. If you don't have one, you can order online. Another great store for fun jewelry is Love Culture.0

I started off by buying myself fitness goodies. "No you can't blow cash on whatever gadget you think you need until you've gone to the gym every day for two months" really helped me get the good habits started. And the rewards scaled - I can't remember what "every day for a week" was but there was something. I know "every day for six months" was a decent pair of running shoes, and "every day for a year" was hiring a personal trainer. It's a habit now, though, so I don't buy myself treats any more.
But anything you can tie into the work you're putting in is good. A new kitchen scale? A nice knife? A bag to bring your lunch to work in? Quality workout socks? (Don't laugh, sock quality has a big impact on workout enjoyment.)0 -
I've rewarded myself with hypnotherapy so that I can stop feeling the need to reward mysefl with 'things" haha :laugh:0

I try to reward myself with things that help my workouts/eating better. I bought myself a food scale when I lost my first few pounds, a bought myself a nice yoga mat, new running shoes, new workout clothes, etc. I'm going to be buying myself new shoes again as i save up for it (I save $1 for every mile I run during the C25K program). When I get to my goal weight though I'm going to slurge and buy a really nice swimsuit from Victoria Secret.0
