.. the friend add thing on here ?

I can see how support and motivation is a good thing in more ways than one but what's with the people begging for "friends" to add them ? I've added a fair few here and I've also removed a fair few too . Don't see the point of having people who don't say a bloody word.

Is it just me ?

    I feel the same way you do....a few is plenty! There are those that have requested an add, I oblige - never to hear from them again. As quick as they're added, they're deleted. A few great sincere cheerleaders is all I need. The worst ones are those that expect to see "pictures" ...no, there's a site for that elsewhere.

    Yes, I still have them from when that other guy told me they were required when submitting a FR. I'm still not sure why I had to wear a plaid skirt, though..

    Define "begging". When I started I didn't knew anyone so made a post asking for people to add me and then I added a few who made their own threads. Everybody gotta start somewhere. Who am I to judge how they try and seek support. As a matter of fact, who are YOU to judge how they do things?

    Plaid skirts show your level of commitment. We want to know that you're willing to give in this relationship, and also what we might be getting into.

    A lot of people probably get off on the whole "amassing as many friends as possible on a social network" thing. Facebook works the same way. There are people who are only friends with those who they know and have contact with in real life and there are also people who have 3-4K "friends" on their profile.

    Alot of people find support on here from others. Plus starting this site can be exciting and it's fun to have people cheer you on.
    So they ask for friends. It's the way of this site. What's wrong with that?
