looking/feeling larger after cardio?

whenever I'm at the gym, I always look in the mirror after my workout and I see myself as larger than I was before my workout. I look bloated/swollen. I also feel a little bigger, as well.
is this normal, somewhat? or am I just being stupidly hard on myself?

It's all in your head. You might have a pump which will make you look a little more muscular but it certainly won't make you look bloated or swollen. Having a pump looks good.

Are you hydrating enough before/during/after your workout? It may very well be a little bit of water retention, as I get the same thing - my abdomen tends to swell up a little. I glug down water that night/after the workout, go to bed, next day it's all gone. :)

Alright, just because some other posters here may have not had this problem doesn't mean it's all in OP's head.

Not a regular problem, but my stomach was so bloated when I left the gym tonight that I was surprised I wasn't offered a seat on the tube.

Probably just water retention, TOM due in my case.

No, the fact that you expel liquid and deplete glycogen stores during a cardio session what means it's all in the OP's head.
