I am running a 10km at the end of April, which is going to be scary. I wont be ready, but I will walk it if I have to.

Picked a bit of a tough one (fitness magazine's 6 weeks to 5k), and got through my 5k about 4 weeks ago, and am now mid-way through a 10 week 15k plan...

Started at a BMI of about 37 (similar to you), so definitely feasible... just religiously stick to the runs, and they'll get easier over time.

Will do Bro!!! the bad thing is that my job requires a lot of traveling, I will be gone the next two weeks! but im thinking on taking my tennis shoes and enjoy a nice run in a park! hopefully I will be able to avoid bad food! thats another killer while traveling. I usually go to nice restaurants and look at the meats only! damn RIBEYES!!!!! haha

What was your time on the 5k, if you don't mind me asking?

I just realized there will be this really cool 5k coming up...I've been meaning to get into running for some time now. It's always been a fascination of mine, but I have bad knees, as well.

So, I plan on starting this soon, like today or tomorrow. I want to LOVE running and I definitely want to be able to keep up with the majority at the 5k coming up in August.

    Any pointers?
