its not a 'cheat' its called real life... do an extra workout before you go, and enjoy yourself... simple as.... then get back to normal the next day.
its no big drama!0 -
Portion control. You can enjoy yourself and the food without stuffing yourself or blowing your budget completely (it's a myth that a little man with a bat comes out and beats you if you don't clean your plate). Even if you eat at maintenance for the day you won't gain. Dance up a storm and burn some extra.
Life isn't about cheating and sacrifice. To be successful you have to learn to cope with everything as it comes your way.0 -
Try to fit in an extra workout if you can either before or the day before/after. Spend a lot of time dancing for the exercise!
For food, try to fill up on veggies and any lean meats. At my wedding we had a baked chicken and a few salads. Most weddings will serve the salad dressing on the side (at least at a buffet style dinner.. not sure about a served dinner). Try to eat something healthy before you go so you aren't starving when dinner time hits. If they have some food served before dinner try to fill up on veggies and fruits (we had a veggie tray and fruit tray as part of our pre dinner food along with our late night food table). Try to eat lighter earlier in the day... choose low cal foods earlier that are still filling (egg whites for breakfast with some veggies mixed in for example).. have a large salad before the wedding.
Ultimately, have a good time. Try to pick healthier foods or go for smaller portions. Eat slowly so you don't eat as much. Dance, dance dance for some exercise while you are there. Dancing can be great exercise!
I wouldn't take the day as a cheat day... maybe eat to maintance or just below. Don't weigh the next day as the food can be higher in sodium.0 -
People don't attend THAT many weddings in their lifetimes so just forget about the numbers/portions and get back on track the next day.0
