I have been losing weight now for 6 months, starting in 3 weeks i am going to change my goals so that i am going to be putting on lean muscle mass/weight

Does anyone have any decent tips that could help with this transition?

If i change my goals on MFP so that it is gain 1lb a week will this help or will i need to do it a different way?

All advise welcome and thanks in advance

Kris

Bump. I'd also be interested to know this as I'd also like to bulk.

During my last bulk I set my goal to gain 0.5lbs/week. You can also do TDEE +10-15%. The higher your surplus the more likely that a higher % of your gain will come from fat vs. lean muscle (Regardless, during a bulk you will be adding muscle and fat).

1lb a week is way too aggressive if you are looking for "lean" mass gains, you should be looking at 1-2lbs per month.
