Wood fired pizza?

My bf & I went to a pizza place where I live that's wood fired...and I can't figure out how I would put that into my diary. I tried finding Brooklyn Pizza's info to maybe compare but couldn't find theirs either... and it's such an odd pizza, I wouldn't know how to add it. It's called the Black & Blue, it has sirloin steak, portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, and blue cheese. No sauce. It was a thin crust and I had 4 slices. I can't just put in a cheese pizza and add the toppings because there would be extra calories from the sauce & cheese that weren't on the pizza.

Any ideas? I want to count it but don't know how! :(

Mmm. I had wood fired pizza over the weekend too. The place in my neighborhood is called "Punch" and the basic (tomato, cheese and basil) is the Margarita. I did find that someone had entered the information in MFP (and is at least consistent with what I found in a Google search). You could use that entry and add any additional toppings that you had. I think wood-fired pizza sizes are pretty consistent, at least in my experience.

Edit: If you didn't have the sauce, you could try subtracting like... 50 calories? You'll just have to give it a good guess.

cant you call up the place and ask them for calorie details , many places cater for these requests nowadays :) x

We eat at a lot of local places where I have to make my best guess on calories. If I were you I'd enter each item individually - Plain thin crust should be in the database. This is what I do when I make my own pizza. Good luck!

    Oh, kaitlinj, thanks so much!!

Kim - I'm just afraid plain crust would be different...

Kiiradee - I almost asked when I was there but the waitress was so rude, I really don't want anything to do with that place again.
