Yet another fitbit issue...

I wear it faithfully everyday, and some days it doesnt add any calories to MFP - which is fine, maybe I didnt burn more than my alotted calories that day right??? But then days like today, when I've sat at my desk all day and have a meer 3000 steps for the day and fitbit added 500 calories to my daily total. What the heck??? I've already decided I wont eat back any of the calories I burn from walking but it just doesnt sync right or something. Very annoying. I have no idea how to fix this.
