I really want to get a hula hoop as everyone says they're great for defining a waist.
which would be better like a heavy smooth one or one with bumps?
my mum has a bumpy one and it hurts a little but its bareable so im not worried about the pain.
these were the few that i was looking at
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fitness-Mad-Weighted-Wave-Hula-1-5Kg/dp/B004CMJCLK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1363895505&sr=8-2 << one my mum has

any help would be appreciated! or if anyone has had any success with improving their waist

I'm not too keen on the bumpy one. It looks like it could hurt when it went around your waist. I'd go for the smooth.
I have one that I bought at walmart. It's not that heavy -- 2 or 3 lbs at the most? -- and I don't use it as often as I would like (I can't use it in the house because my dog goes APE when I do and tries to eat it). When the weather gets nice and I can go outside again I think I'll pick it up and try to use it more religiously. So as for whether or not it actually works I have no answer.0
