What's a waist slimming belt?

I saw several waist slimming belts in the fitness section of a local store. I was just wondering what they are? Does anyone use one? Are they any good?....etc...

    HAHA.. True!

There are no shortcuts. There are no magical devices. Eat at a deficit. move. lift. get results!
It really IS that simple

I wasn't sure if it was a gimmick or whether it helped stabilize the torso during lifting or something. It wasn't overly expensive ($7?) but I wasn't really sure if it was something useful or not.

Hmmm, guess read the packag and see what it says? I'm guessing it's going to say something like wear it for a few hours a day, blah blah blah. Doubtful it's useful at all.

If these things slimmed our waists, we'd all spend $7 and then look awesome. MFP wouldn't even need to exist!

I have one and I just began using it again only during cardio though. I recently watched a video on youtube by the Hodgetwins( youtube fitness gurus) and they said that it can be helpful because your blood circulates very slow in the tummy area and the belt will help to speed up the blood flow in that area. SInce using the belt I have noticed a slight difference but yes I agree there is no magic fix just helps you sweat a little more in that area.

A piece of crap that doesn't work like it says it is supposed to. Funny how the only true thing that works for weight loss and fitness is calorie deficit and good ol fashioned exercise. Who woulda thunk it? LOL! My mom bought me one of those things Xmas one year... :flowerforyou:

No it didn't say that. It was something you wear during a workout

Sorry....I wasn't totally clear with my question. It's not something you wear and *POOF* the inches melt away without exercising. The package said you wear it during your workouts. I'm quite aware that there are no magic tricks when it comes to weight loss. :flowerforyou:
