Added Sugar and how its impacted your success

Just wondered if anyone has noticed added sugar destroying their progress. I hopefully want to stay away from talking about fruit sugars etc... everyone knows that fruits contain fiber and micro-nutrients which are healthful. I've never thought weight loss was/is only about a calorie in and out. I think macro and micro nutrition is equally important... Do you find that your weight loss stalls with empty sugar calories even if you're under your TDEE?
Just curious since a lot of the other sugar topics are part of group discussions that are locked.

Sugar doesn't bother my weight loss. The only stalls I get are due to ToM.0

Doesn't stall mine. I couldn't think of any biochemical or physiological reason it would either. Carbs pretty much all get broken down to glucose during digestion anyway.0 -

This... damn the ToM. I can pretty much track the ToM via the scale. Sugar in moderation, even normal ol sucrose sweetened stuffs, doesn't bother weight loss at all.0 -
Don't know what it is, but my body hates when I don't eat a fully balanced meal: protein/fat/carb... it's why I make whey ice cream.
I can hit my macros for the day but if I eat a good portion of ice cream for that day GG.0 -
It stalls mine. I only lose weight when I lower my carb intake period.0

Doesn't stall mine--actually, the opposite: my treats help keep me on track. Since I don't feel deprived, it's easier to stick to a deficit.0
