Feeling Down and Out...

So, I'm starting to second guess my decision to start Insanity. I've been reading up on it and have mixed feelings. On one hand, I've heard people say that it ends up making them feel deprived, like they have to continuously eat all day to feel satisfied. I'm pretty certain that is happening to me. Also, it makes me dread working out. Exercising should be fun, you should WANT to go out and do it on a daily basis. If I have to force myself to do this every single day, there's no way I will make it through. On the other hand with the people that stick with it, I've heard they swear by it and their results are incredible. However, these are all people that have started out already athletic. I have yet to see someone who goes from not working out AT ALL to starting Insanity just like that.
I guess I'm just looking for some insight, guidance, something to make me feel better. I feel like such a failure.

Don't lose heart!! If you're not in it, find something that you can stick to!
Have you tried Turbofire? Very similar, great HIIT workouts, but a little more on the "fun" side.
And do not feel like a failure! You are trying, reflecting, and adjusting. Sounds like a win to me!0 -
I stopped to because I wasnt feeling it and other things. i will eventually try it again but Im currently doing 30 day shred and then possibly the blogilaties.0

did not work out at all and am finishing insanity on saturday. I have over 100 pounds to lose and to be quite honest up until this week I have not had a problem. This week though the weathers been sh1tty and so has my mood but in 59 days or whatever it hasnt been that bad.
You have to want to do it though, I just said eff this I am gonna do it and I did. My end goal though is a spartan sprint at the end of June, I really do not want to die in public, and if dying in my living room will stop that I am happy.
Forgot to add I dont eat that much more now than I was before hand!0 -
For me the key to staying active is doing the things I like, if I try to make myself do something i will give up on it. I also change up my routine every 4-6 weeks so that my ADD brain doesn't get bored.0

Dont get discouraged! I"ve been through it twice and I am no where near as fit as the people on there so you can do this! Its tough, and I'll admit I also dreaded the workouts too...until I started seeing results! Initially I just told myself to keep pushing just because I wanted to actually start and finish the program. But then the weight started coming off and coming off really fast in the second month and that definitely helped keep me motivated . All I can say is that it worked for me, and im sure it will work for you. But that said, its just not for everyone. Getting results motivated me to keep pushing through even when in really didnt want to, but everyone needs to find what motivates them. If insanity is not for you, try something else. We all know there's plenty of options out there! Hit me up if you have any questions about my experience with insanity. Good luck!!0
