Hi folks,

I've actually been a member for a while, but haven't introduced myself yet.

I'm Teddie, I guess on here I'm teddabod.

Ever since I was about 14 or so, I always concentrated on my muscularity. In 2004, I herniated a disc doing some cable-flys. Got my vertebrae fused in my neck and for 7 years ended up addicted to Vicodin. I gave up completely on myself... my health went to crap, and so did my body. My wife and kids happiness suffered with my steady spiral, decline. In 2011, I detoxed myself - was a nightmare - and kicked the painkillers. Got back into the gym. I'm 43 now and I'm treating my body better in the gym rather than always "going heavy". Body, life, and family back where I want it to be, need it to be, and I feel absolutely incredible.

I recently finished a bulk phase and started a cutting phase yesterday in preparation for the warm weather :)

I look forward to talking with you folks about fitness, life, whatever.

Cheers!
Teddie (teddabod)

lol. I was thinking about the subject line I put in this post while I was at the gym.

I guess it was not so much a "bounce back" from injury but a "slow crawl with a bit of weeping" ;)
