E-pulse 2 strapless HRM consideration and advice seeking

Been looking through forum posts and see a lot of hate on the strapless hrm's for inaccuracy and unreliability. I think I will try out the e-pulse 2 but from the mixed reviews on amazon, I'm not sure if 30 days is a long enough trial period.
Have you had experience with the strapless HRM's (those that advertise a continuous reading) and more specifically the e-pulse? What do you have to say about them?
