I have been wondering about this too. I have a basic HRM watch and want to get something else.

    Yes, I love it.
I use a Zephyr Hxm paired with Endomondo.

There are others like Wahoo etc,

But swear by my Zephyr and they deal in military and hospital equipment as well.

It will work. I have a Polar Wearlink + Bluetooth and it does work with Runtastic.

I have a Wahoo Blue HR which I have been using with Digifit and it works great. I am planning on trying it with Runtastic as soon as the weather breaks and I can get outside for a run.

I was debating picking one of these up for myself, but my phone tends to die QUICKLY when there is an active bluetooth connection.
  • Thats the other thing I was wondering, I was thinking of using it more on cardio workouts and such not super long runs because my phone also sucks up the juice when active like that.

I've gone on 2hr+ Bike rides with a full phone, GPS and Bluetooth on and never been under 50%
