RunDisney Race Hotel/Shuttle logistics advice - FL

I'm registered to do my first RunDisney Race in Florida - Wine & Dine - and I'm trying to figure out the hotel/shuttle logistics. I've done 2 RunDisney Races, but in CA. The parks and the layout for hotels and such are very different.

According to RunDisney they have only a few "Resort Hotels" on the shuttle route. In your experience must you stay at one of those hotels in order to get a ride to/from the race or are there other shuttles not advertised that may be available if I chose to stay at a different hotel?

I'm flying in and won't be renting a car so I'm trying to figure out these details. TIA

Check with hotels in the area...some may have their own shuttles that go to the park, but...they may not have them up and going as early/late as you need to get there. The Disney resort shuttles know when the races start and finish and they will be running at the hours you need them to. That being said, still give yourself an extra 30 minutes because the shuttles are not always on time and sometimes they come back to back and then you don't see another one for 30 minutes.
