tuna soup ideas needed

I am sure you are thinking " EW gross tuna soup" but I really like tuna and soup. Normally I am a pro at improv meals but this one is throwing me off. I am looking for ideas to make it low calorie with a large yield. The plan is using mainly vegetables such as onion, carrots, cabbage, celery, etc. to add bulk with out a lot of calories. Also I like to use instant mashed potatoes as a thickener. Trying to put this together with the right seasonings and maybe some parmesan cheese for that creamy flavor. I may tinker with the above ideas maybe with bay seasoning and a little Cajun flare. If anyone have any ideas let me know.

I would try making it like a thai green curry flavor. Spicy!

I love tuna & soup, too. . . but there's a line I won't cross with those two. They need to stay on their own turf!!! But, if you figure it out, do share as many folks may enjoy it too!

not really a soup, but what about a puttanesca sauce with spaghetti squash instead of standard noodles?

oh what about a lasagna soup with tuna as the protein, or in addition to chicken or ground turkey?

I always go with a tomato base when using tuna. I use organic unsalted tomato paste and organic fat/sodium free chicken broth then load her up with veggies. When I'm done it usually has a thick consistency or I thicken with potatos as you do or more tomato paste.

I've done tuna with cream of mushroom soup, cooked zuchinni, mushrooms, and cheese before. Not too bad. You really need to get high quality chunk tuna though, otherwise the texture is kinda gross.

    Only herb was garlic

Thanks for the ideas, I do love spicy... Some of my commonly used sauce have bhut jolokia aka ghost pepper. I do make a soup using hot n sour soup as inspiration using tofu, water crest, onion, chicken with broth, egg whites and more but I may have to experiment and see what comes from it.
