My hatred of cardio

Hey everyone. I need some advice. I haven't been losing weight, but my body type has changed with my diet and exercise for the last 2 months and I have lost a couple inches off my waist. I currently want to change my diet and exercise around, but I really hate cardio. The most enjoyable cardio I have found are walking, punching, and kicking and plan to do it alternate days, along with what i really enjoy, weight lifting. I was wondering if decreasing my cardio intensity and increasing my weight lifting will affect my weight loss. What about just cutting cardio down to a 45 - 60 minute brisk walk everyday? I don't want to cut cardio out completely, but there have been times where I would skip a cardio workout repeatedly because I lacked the motivation to do it.

I say do what you enjoy. Instead of steady state cardio, why not do 2 or 3 times a week a short HIIT session. If you kep Cardio down it might give you better results, as your body is not that much used to it.

The body adapts to cardio etc. and becomes more efficient in doing it. So if you do it on a permanent base, your body will use less cals over time for the same exercise. To keep seeing results you will either need to increase your cardio or reduce cals. Sine I do not want to do either of it, I just keep Cardio as a weapon.

I am similar to you. Love my weights, but cardio not that much. I just do one or two times a week HIIT for fat loss. I am not after weight loss, but body recomp. Did a bulk before, where I completely cut out cardio. Now I introduced it again, but will just keep it for cutting.

So I would say do what feels right for you. Working out should be fun. Cardio is not necessarily needed. It is basically up to you. Make it work for you!

If you're trying to lose your first concern should be caloric deficit consistently, cardio is just extras. Just power-walk a few times a week in the AM for cardio.
