Annie Lennox - whiter shade of pale
  • Some of my faves:

Great Big Sea's kitchen-party-gone-punk version of It's The End of the World and We Know it
    The Ramones covering California Sun
And surprisingly, The Band Perry covering Fat Bottomed Girls!

    Yesterday -McCartney
This is the most covered pop song of all time, over 3,000 versions recorded according to The Guinness Book Of World Records. For years, it was also the song with the most radio plays, but in 1999 BMI music publishing reported that "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" had passed it.
McCartney is the only Beatle to play on this. It was the first time a Beatle recorded without the others.

Nirvana's cover of "man who sold the world" by David Bowie is worth mentioning....then again someone else mentioned it.

    Edited for superfluous content!

i know i am in the minority, but I think "hurt" by Johnny Cash is not fantastic. I think the his legend and the video made that song, and if that rendition was tied to a man not named Johnny Cash, that people would not be as enamored with it.

but that's just, like, my opinion, man.
